Prescott Invitational meet is red all over with county winners

All five teams which participated in this year's Prescott Invitational prep cross country meet had red and black as their school colors or some variation of it. Another similarity came from the winning teams and individual runners came from Pierce County.

PRESCOTT - All five teams which participated in this year's Prescott Invitational prep cross country meet Tuesday afternoon had red and black as their school colors or some variation of it. Another similarity came from the winning teams and individual runners came from Pierce County.

The host school won the boys meet with 32 points followed by Spring Valley who scored 51. PHS was led by Cole Hauenstein's first place finish in 17:01. Prescott places four out of the top five runners with Spring Valley's Lance Snyder finishing fourth.

Breanna Colbenson was the individual winner of the girls race in 14:31 and her finish helped SV edge Baldwin-Woodville in the team standings 37-41. Prescott's placed third and Elmwood was fifth. Victoria Simones of PHS was third individually in 15:53

Next up for Prescott is the Osceola Invitational this weekend where they will run along side Ellsworth. All four schools will take part in the Durand Invitational next Thursday.
