MINNEAPOLIS -- An NFC North match-up pits the red-hot Detroit Lions against the winless Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome on Sunday.

The Lions torched the Chiefs 48-3 last Sunday behind four touchdown passes from Matthew Stafford. Detroit has won six straight games dating back to last season but hasn't won in Minnesota since 1997.

The Vikings fell to 0-2 after blowing a 17-0 lead against the Buccaneers at home last weekend. Minnesota also blew a 10-point lead in its opener at San Diego. Adrian Peterson is coming off a 120-yard, two-TD performance against the Bucs. Kickoff is set for noon.

The Lions continue to prepare for this weekend's division showdown against the Vikings. Yesterday, defensive end Cliff Avril, safety Louis Delmas, receiver Calvin Johnson, and linebacker DeAndre Levy returned to practice after being held out Wednesday because of injuries. Brandon Pettigrew didn't practice as he deals with a sore shoulder, but the tight end is expected to play against Minnesota on Sunday.
