CHICAGO - Getting four starters back will help the Green Bay Packers in their showdown with the rival Chicago Bears today. The game is being played at Soldier Field.
The last time the two teams met, the Packers won 21-14 to take the NFC Championship. It’ll be up to the banged-up Bear offensive line to protect quarterback Jay Cutler. He was sacked six times in a loss last week. The Packers have seven sacks in two games.
But, that hasn’t meant they’ve stopped the passing attacks for opponents. Indeed, Drew Brees and Cam Newton both torched the secondary for more than 400 yards. The high-powered Green Bay offense managed to overpower the opposition on the way to a 2-0 record. Aaron Rodgers has completed 71 percent of his passes for 620 yards and five touchdowns, with no interceptions. He’ll be tested. The Bears defense has surrendered nearly 100 total yards per game less than Green Bay.

University of Wisconsin basketball coach Bo Ryan has landed an outstanding talent. La Crosse Aquinas High School combo guard Bronson Koenig made an oral commitment for the 2013 class yesterday. He chosen the Badgers over North Carolina, Duke and Virginia. Koenig is the first commitment for Wisconsin’s 2013 class, which is expected to include four players. He averaged 17 points, 3.4 rebounds and 2.9 assists as a sophomore, leading Aquinas to the WIAA Division 3 state championships.
