NEW RICHMOND - The Ellsworth High School volleyball team had just one hiccup in an otherwise dominating performance Tuesday in a 25-13, 21-25, 25-10, 25-18 victory over New Richmond in New Richmond.

The second-set loss did little to discourage the Panthers (14-11, 3-1 Middle Border) the rest of the evening.

“It was just kind of clicking and we were staying aggressive,” Ellsworth head coach Tanya Powers said.

Senior Jessy Tingelhoff had a team-high 23 assists. Tingelhoff added four kills and five digs for the Panthers.

Senior Abbey Ristow had 18 kills and four solo blocks while junior Kenzie Diercks had 17 digs. Sophomore Chelsy Strom had 11 digs and five ace serves. Sophomore Olivia Helmer added eight assists, five kills and five digs.

Ellsworth faces Osceola Thursday in Ellsworth for its Homecoming match beginning at 7 p.m. The Panthers are one game in back of first place Baldwin-Woodville, who was idle Tuesday. Osceola, also 3-1 in the league, comes into Thursday's match a 3-1 winner over Durand.
