Adelman now officially new T-Wolves head coach
Minnesota Sports-- The Minnesota Timberwolves officially introduced Rick Adelman as their new head coach on Wednesday.
MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Timberwolves officially introduced Rick Adelman as their new head coach on Wednesday.
The 65-year-old Adelman has a 945-616 career record as a head coach with the Trail Blazers, Kings, Warriors and Rockets. Adelman left the Rockets this past April.

NBA commissioner David Stern says a deal to put an end to the lockout is not close. ESPN reports that Stern is planning to threaten players with the cancellation of the entire upcoming season if no major progress is made in talks by the end of the upcoming weekend. The sides are scheduled to meet Friday afternoon, and the talks could extend through the weekend.

The Minnesota Lynx are prepping for their first-ever WNBA Championship Series appearance. The Lynx will face the Atlanta Dream in the finals, with Game One on Sunday night at the Target Center. Atlanta lost in last year's finals to Seattle. Tickets are on sale for Game One. The first 7,500 fans on Sunday will receive free pom-poms.
