Minnesota Sports-- University of Minnesota forward Trevor Mbakwe of St. Paul has been named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 watch list.
MINNEAPOLIS - University of Minnesota forward Trevor Mbakwe of St. Paul has been named to the John R. Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 watch list.
The Los Angeles Athletic Club released the names of the players yesterday Mbakwe averaged a team-high 13.9-points and 10.5-rebounds per game as a second-team all-Big Ten performer last season. He led Team USA in rebounding this past summer at the World University Games, where the Americans finished fifth.
The Golden Gophers begin practice on October 14th.
