Kill says Gray progressing but has to play at full speed to play vs. Purdue
Minnesota Sports-- University of Minnesota head football coach Jerry Kill says quarterback MarQueis Gray is progressing, but will have to show he is capable of playing at full speed if he wants to take part in this Saturday's game at Purdue.
MINNEAPOLIS -- University of MInnesota head football coach Jerry Kill says quarterback MarQueis Gray is progressing, but will have to show he is capable of playing at full speed if he wants to take part in this Saturday's game at Purdue.
The junior signal-caller missed last week's contest at Michigan with a foot injury. Gray took part in some drills in practice yesterday.
True freshman Max Shortell started in place of Gray at Michigan and struggled in a 58-0 loss to the Wolverines This Saturday's game begins at 11 a.m. and will be broadcast on the Big Ten Network.
