MADISON - Dezmen Southward is expected to start a strong safety for the University of Wisconsin football team tomorrow against Indiana at Camp Randall Stadium.
Shelton Johnson started the first four games at that spot, before a calf injury forced him to sit out. But coach Bret Bielema said Johnson looked good at practice this week – and he’s expected to get playing time against the 1-5 Hoosiers. The fourth-ranked Badgers will try to go 2-0 in the Big Ten tomorrow. They’re currently 5-0 overall. This is UW's Homecoming game and the kick-off is set for 11 a.m. The contest will be broadcast on ESPN2.

Milwaukee Bucks’ guard Shaun Livingston will play for a minor league team in Bloomington, Illinois if the NBA isn’t running by late December or January. Scott Henderson, co-owner of the Central Illinois Drive, says Livingston will help promote Bloomington’s team in the new Premier Basketball League. Livingston is from Peoria Illinois – and he went to high school with the team’s coach, A.J. Guyton, and its first signed player, Daniel Ruffin. Livingston was traded to the Bucks from Charlotte in a flurry of deals by NBA teams before the owners’ lockout began July first. NBA Commissioner David Stern says his league might cancel its entire season if federal mediation between the owners and players doesn’t work. A mediation session is scheduled for Monday.
