MADISON - After last season’s blowout, Saturday's 59-7 loss actually was an improvement for the Indiana University football team. Wisconsin won 83-20 last season.

The Badgers took a while to get going, then methodically wiped out the visiting Indiana team in a Big Ten Conference game Saturday. An early kickoff at Camp Randall had the usually rowdy Badger crowd a little quieter than normal despite the Homecoming festivities.

But Russell Wilson did his thing – which, in the case, was a little of everything. Wilson threw for 166 yards and a touchdown, rushed for 42 and caught a 25 yard scoring pass from Montee Ball on a trick play. Ball, meanwhile, rushed for 142 yards and three TDs on just 14 carries. Running back James White also scored a touchdown and Jared Abbrederis returned a punt for a TD.

The Badgers stayed unbeaten at 6-0, including 2-0 in conference play after the Homecoming win. It's only the sixth time since 1900 UW has started a regular season 6-0. They travel to play Michigan State next Saturday. The Spartans will be coming off an upset win over unbeaten arch rival Michigan, 28-14.
