First snow could be on the way this week for parts of Wisconsin
Wisconsin Weather-- Most of Wisconsin will be windy and blustery for one more day. Then it’s supposed to get colder – and more of us could see our first snow of the season before the week’s done.
Most of Wisconsin will be windy and blustery for one more day. Then it’s supposed to get colder – and more of us could see our first snow of the season before the week’s done.
The “S”-word was first mentioned during the weekend in the far north along Lake Superior. Those places could get a mix of snow-and-rain tonight, as temperatures dip into the 30’s statewide. Lake-effect snows might continue in the far north through Wednesday – and then all of north-central Wisconsin could see a rain-and-snow mix on Thursday before skies clear up on Friday. Today’s highs will be in the 40’s-and-50’s statewide. And the National Weather Service says a Canadian low-pressure system will move out tonight, to be replaced by several upper-level disturbances from Hudson Bay. That’s supposed to drive high statewide down to the 40’s by Wednesday, with lows in the 30’s each night.
But at least it will be less windy after tonight. Gusts hit 55-miles-an-hour yesterday at Green Bay’s lighthouse, and 43-miles-an-hour close to Lambeau Field near the end of the Packer game with Saint Louis. Winds also hit 44-miles-an-hour in Wausau.
