UPDATE: Minnesota man dies in motorcycle accident Sunday

A Minnesota man died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in the town of Trenton.

A Minnesota man died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle accident in the town of Trenton.

The Pierce County Sheriff's Department says Ronald J. Bauman, 51, Princeton, was operating a 2001 Harley Davidson cycle northbound on 825th Street near Hwy. 63 when he struck the rear of another motorcycle and was apparently thrown to the ground.

Bauman was transported by Red Wing ambulance to Fairview Red Wing Medical Center, then air-lifted to Regions Hospital in St. Paul, where he was pronounced dead.

The other motorcycle was being operated by Mark J. Schouviller, 50, of Princeton, Minn. He was not injured.

Deputies were assisted by police officers from Red Wing, the Wisconsin State Patrol and Ellsworth Fire Department.

The crash remains under investigation.
