EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- The Vikings are pondering their starting quarterback situation following Sunday night's 39-10 loss to the Bears. Head coach Leslie Frazier said Monday that he and the coaching staff will evaluate what direction they want to go and likely announce a decision on Wednesday.

Donovan McNabb has started every game for the 1-5 Vikings, but was replaced by rookie Christian Ponder in the fourth quarter of Sunday's loss at Chicago. The Vikes' host the undefeated Packers on Sunday.

Governor Mark Dayton says he wants a special legislative session on a Vikings stadium just before Thanksgiving -- November 21st through the 23rd -- if a plan is in place. Governor Dayton met with legislative leaders and officials from the Metropolitan Council and the Met Sports Facilities Commission on Monday afternoon. But Senate Republican leaders appear less enthusiastic than the governor. GOP caucus spokesman Michael Brodkorb says there's no agreement between the governor and Senate leaders on the size of the state's contribution for a new stadium, or even if the state will make a contribution. Senate Majority Leader Amy Koch (R-Buffalo) has said she wants a voter referendum on any proposed local sales tax increase for a stadium. But the Ramsey County Charter Commission voted last week *not* to put the issue on the ballot. The governor plans to meet with NFL officials today in his office.
