Minnesota Sports-- The University of Minnesota men's hockey team jumped six spots in this week's USCHO.com national poll.
MINNEAPOLIS - The University of Minnesota men's hockey team jumped six spots in this week's USCHO.com national poll.
The Golden Gophers are now ranked No. 8 in the nation after opening the season with four victories in four games, including a sweep of defending national champ Minnesota-Duluth last weekend. Minnesota-Duluth fell from ninth to 15th in this week's survey.
Michigan is ranked No. 1, Denver is third, Colorado College is fourth, and North Dakota is ranked fifth in the nation. UND will be at Wisconsin this weekend.
