MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers cultivated a lot of new fans this season. The Nielsen rating service said the TV ratings for the Brewers’ regular season games were 63-percent higher than a year ago.
The average was 7.9 – the percentage of homes in the Milwaukee market which were tuned to the Brewer broadcasts on Fox Sports Wisconsin and WMLW. The rating was the third-highest in the country – only behind second-place Saint Louis and first-place Philadelphia.
In the playoffs, the Cardinals had the highest ratings at 26.2– while the Brewers had the third-highest rating at 22.6.
