Vikes' Robison fined $20,000 for groin kick to Pack's Lang

-Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison was fined $20,000 by the NFL today, for kicking Green Bay Packers’ lineman T.J. Lang in the groin last Sunday.

Minnesota Vikings defensive end Brian Robison was fined $20,000 by the NFL today, for kicking Green Bay Packers’ lineman T.J. Lang in the groin last Sunday.

It happened during an extra point attempt, after Lang had blocked Robison and pushed him to the turf at the Metrodome in Minneapolis. The Vikings were penalized 15 yards on the ensuing kickoff, but Robison was not ejected.

He apologized on Twitter Sunday night, saying he didn’t mean to do it – and it happened in the heat of battle. Lang said after the game was he was surprised Robison was not ejected – but after the player apologized, Lang accepted it. The kick was very visible to TV viewers watching on Fox – and it didn’t take long to go viral on the Internet.
