Dinner donation
The Hartland United Methodist Church has donated proceeds from the church’s annual turkey dinner to the Pierce County Food Pantry.

The Hartland United Methodist Church has donated proceeds from the church’s annual turkey dinner to the Pierce County Food Pantry. The Oct. 23 dinner, now in its 27th year, was a success, going through nine 20-pound turkeys. Organizers decided not to use the funds raised for church purposes this year, opting to support the pantry instead. A donation of $1,605 was presented Wednesday.
