Sunday State Sports Briefs: UW hockey salvages split with UNO
Wisconsin Sports-- Two goals and an assist by Mark Zengerle helped give Wisconsin a split of the weekend home series against Nebraska-Omaha in front of over 11,000 at the Kohl Center.

Frank Simonelli had a goal and two assists and Justin Schultz added two assists as the Badgers won 6-3. That evened their overall record at 4-4, including 3-3 in WCHA. A hot start helped. The Badgers scored four times in the first period. Wisconsin’s Landon Peterson had 34 saves in the victory.

Pewaukee native Mark Wilson hangs in the top four with a 13 under par score going into today's final round at the CIMB Asian Pacific Classic in Malaysia. Wilson has actually only completed 10 holes on the third round. He trails the leader, Bo Van Pelt, by five shots. The other Wisconsin golfer in the field, Madison's Jerry Kelly, is tied for 12th at 11 under par.
