UW women's hockey tops Ohio State, men clobbered by SCSU
Wisconsin Sports-- University of Wisconsin women's hockey team was a 3-1 winner at Ohio State Friday while the men were routed at St. Cloud by a 7-2 score.
Four second-period goals blew a close game wide open Friday night as St. Cloud State routed the Wisconsin Badgers 7-2. The loss knocked coach Mike Eaves’ team back below the .500 mark at 4-5, including 3-4 in the WCHA.
The Huskies were leading 3-2 when they scored two power play goals and one short-handed in the outburst. Wisconsin got scores from Justin Schultz and Matt Paape. The Badgers were outshot for the eighth time in nine games.

Hilary Knight scored the game-winning goal for the 24th time in her storied career at the University of Wisconsin. Knight found the net in the third period as the Badgers beat Ohio State 3-1 in Columbus. Wisconsin’s record is 10-1, including 6-1 in the WCHA. Freshmen Blayre Turnbull and Karley Sylvester had Wisconsin’s other goals, both assisted by Brianna Decker – who has recorded at least one point in 21 straight games. Goalie Alex Rigsby had 25 saves for Wisconsin and the Badgers outshot OSU 32-26.
