State's nine-day deer hunt begins next weekend

It’s the 161st annual Wisconsin gun deer hunt and it means an estimated one billion dollar economic impact on the state. The hunt is called a cultural, ecological and economic force in Wisconsin.
Hunters registered a little over 253,000 thousand deer last year – and the DNR says this year should be just as good, but no predictions are being made. Experts think the Wisconsin deer herd has grown. The nine-day season runs through November 27th.
