Greenwood/Granton wins D-7 state title

Greenwood-Granton shut out Seneca 40-0 in the first of seven divisional championship games at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

MADISON - A team from two small high schools in Clark County won the Division-Seven state football title this afternoon. Greenwood-Granton shut out Seneca 40-0 in the first of seven divisional championship games at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.

Josh Harlander ran for two touchdowns of 52 and 44 yards, and he had 168 rushing yards for the game. Hayden Hinker rushed for 154 yards, and he also had two long scoring runs of 47 and 32 yards. Greenwood-Granton led 24-0 at the half and never looked back. They ended their season at 13-1. Seneca finished at 11-3.

This afternoon, Shiocton is playing undefeated Fond du Lac St. Mary's Springs for the Division-Six title. Right now St.Mary's Springs holds a 10-0 lead.

The Division-Five winner will be decided late this afternoon, when two undefeated teams hook up – Colby and Lancaster. Tonight, unbeaten Wrightstown will play Somerset for the Division-Four title. The other three championship games are set for tomorrow.
