Vander Blue's 26 points leads Marquette to win

Marquette’s record improves to 3-0 with the first-round win in the Paradise Jam Tournament in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Five Golden Eagles scored in double figures as Marquette hit 57 percent from the field. Despite the hot shooting, coach Buzz Williams gave most of the credit to the Eagle defense, saying it created fast-break opportunities.
The Golden Eagles play Mississippi tomorrow in the second round, with the championship game on Monday.
