Badger men's basketball to play in finals of Chicago Invitational Challenge

-- The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team scored 18 points on Bradley miscues and whipped the Braves 66-43 at the Sears Center in the semifinals of the Chicago Invitational Challenge. Wisconsin record is 5-0.

HOFFMAN ESTATES, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin men's basketball team scored 18 points on Bradley miscues and whipped the Braves 66-43 at the Sears Center in the semifinals of the Chicago Invitational Challenge. Wisconsin record is 5-0.

The game was just the fifth between the two schools and the first since 1989.

Ryan Evans, Jordan Taylor and Josh Gasser scored 15 points apiece to lead the No. 11 ranked Badgers. Jared Berggren took down 10 rebounds. The win sets up a contest against Brigham Young University in the championship game. BYU downed Nevada in the other semifinal.

The Badger defense forced 17 turnovers and held Bradley to 34 percent shooting. Wisconsin outrebounded Bradley 40-34. Taylor Brown's 18 points led the Braves. They now have a 3-2 record
