STILLWATER, Okla. -- The third-ranked University of Minnesota wrestling team lost to No. 2 Oklahoma State Sunday 23-14 in front of nearly 3,000 fans at Gallagher-Iba Hall.
The Golden Gophers received wins from Nick Dardanes at 141 pounds, Cody Yohn at 165, Sonny Yohn at 197, and Zach Sanders at 125. But for every Gopher win the Cowboys had an answer and the U could get no closer than 12-7 after starting the dual meet behind 6-0 when OSU's No. 1 ranked Jordan Oliver stuck No. 10 David Thorn at 133 in 2:16.
The Gophers are now 3-2 on the season and 1-0 in the Big Ten and will host Iowa State on Friday night at Williams Arena. The dual meet begins at 7:30 p.m.
