ELMWOOD - Elmwood High School's boys' basketball team got five players in double figures Thursday as it cruised to a 71-50 victory over the Plum City boys basketball team in Elmwood.
Kyle Webb led the quintet with 18 points and 12 rebounds. Tanner Hoyt finished with 14, Logan Wolf 13, Charles Hutter 12 and Seth Jones 11 as the Raiders (4-0, 3-0 Dunn-St. Croix) pulled away in the third quarter.
“They can all have doubles figures on a given night,” Blue Devils head coach Zach Watkins said.
Plum City (0-3, 0-3 Dunn-St. Croix) trailed 39-25 at halftime but Elmwood broke it open in the third to take a 62-39 lead.
Chase Luebker led the Blue Devils with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Chad Fox had 12 points.
Plum City plays Tuesday against St. Croix Central in Plum City while Elmwood hosts Gilmanton in a non-conference game Tuesday. Next Friday EHS plays for first place in the D-SC against Colfax.
