SVE wrestlers go 3-2 at Dells Invite, upset Mineral Point
Facing very tough competition at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational Saturday the Spring Valley-Elmwood wrestling team acquitted itself quite well, finishing with a 3-2 record and toppling the No.2 ranked team in Division 3.

WISCONSIN DELLS - Facing very tough competition at the Wisconsin Dells Invitational Saturday the No. 3 ranked Spring Valley-Elmwood wrestling team acquitted itself quite well, finishing with a 3-2 record and upending the No.2 ranked team in Division 3.
In their first dual meet of the day at the Wisconsin Dells Center at Chula Vista resort, the Redbirds topped No. 2 Mineral Point 38-26. In their following dual they came within a point of upsetting another top-ranked squad in Division 1 Kaukauna, losing only 32-31. SVE lost to No. 5 Wausau West 54-14 but beatdown DeForest 41-19 and Amery 51-18 to finish with a 3-2 mark in the meet.
SVE, 4-2 overall, won their first dual meet of the season over Unity last Thursday. Their next competition is Thursday vs. a strong No. 6 ranked Clear Lake squad at Spring Valley. The meet begins at 7 p.m.
