Sheep-costumed students took their place “on stage” for St. Francis School’s Christmas play at the Catholic church in Ellsworth Wednesday. Several had lines incorporating the “b-a-a” sound of the animals they portrayed while telling the story of Jesus’ birth. An audience filled around two-thirds of the church pews for Wednesday’s rehearsal.
Gauzy props and some choreography were part of the “Angels We Have Heard on High” selection presented as part of St. Francis School’s Christmas play Wednesday. The voices of those students portraying angels were joined by others gathered for the annual production at the local Catholic church.
