Two persons shot in Grand Marais recovering
Minnesota News-- A Duluth hospital official says the two men shot inside the Cook County courthouse in northeastern Minnesota are improving today.
GRAND MARAIS, Minn. -- A Duluth hospital official says the two men shot inside the Cook County courthouse in northeastern Minnesota are improving today.
Cook County Attorney Tim Scannell and Grand Marais resident Gregory Thompson were among four people shot Thursday afternoon. A hospital spokeswoman says 45-year-old Scannell was shot three times and is in fair condition after surgery last night.
Fifty-three-year-old Thompson was upgraded to good condition today. The other two victims were treated for minor injuries. The suspect, 42-year-old Daniel Schlienz, had just been convicted of third-degree criminal sexual conduct and remains in custody.
