MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Bucks lost to Minnesota 85-84 at the Bradley Center last night, in their final tune-up before the regular season begins next week.

The Bucks blew a 10-point lead as Minnesota scored the game's final 12 points. Michael Beasley made two free throws with nine-point-one seconds left. And Bucks' rookie Jon Leuer missed an open shot at the buzzer.

Milwaukee coach Scott Skiles refused to call a time-out and regroup in the final minute as his team hung on to a one-point lead. In Skiles' words, "I wanted to see what happened and we panicked." He said the Bucks will have those situations during the season, and they'll need to handle them.

Drew Gooden scored 15 points for the Bucks. Stephen Jackson had seven in his Milwaukee debut. He has yet to take part in a full practice, as he gets over a bad back. Kevin Love had 22 points and 16 rebounds for Minnesota. He left in the third quarter after hurting his left ankle, but he returned at crunch time.

Minnesota played without injured point guards Ricky Rubio and J.J. Barea. But the Wolves still managed to sweep their two pre-season contests against Milwaukee. The Bucks open their lockout-shortened regular season on Monday night at Charlotte.
