MADISON - Taking the ball inside and being aggressive on offense winds up sending the Wisconsin Badgers to the free throw line 44 times in Friday’s afternoon's game at the Kohl Center. Hitting 31, Wisconsin routed the Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils 79-45.
The Badgers’ record improves to 11-2. Jordan Taylor scored 17 points to lead the 13th-ranked Badgers to the win.
Even though they were playing for the first time in a week, the Badgers started hot, jumping out to a 20-4 lead. Mississippi Valley State cut the margin to 11 points, twice, but never into single digits. Jared Berggren scored 15 for Wisconsin, which opens Big Ten Conference play next Tuesday at Nebraska.
