Elmwood man injured in auto accident

A 19-year-old Elmwood driver apparently swerved to avoid a deer before losing control of his 2000 Plymouth Neon and flipping several times before coming to a rest on his wheels in a ditch at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28.

ELMWOOD - A 19-year-old Elmwood driver apparently swerved to avoid a deer before losing control of his 2000 Plymouth Neon and flipping several times before coming to a rest on his wheels in a ditch at 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28.

Jesse McKune was taken by Elmwood Ambulance to Red Cedar Medical Center in Menomonie.

His accident occurred on Hwy. 72 just north of County Road PP in Pierce County.

McKune was driving north. He was wearing a seatbelt.

The crash is under investigation.

Pierce County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted at the scene by Elmwood Ambulance and Gilles Towing.
