Several county prep boys basketball teams look to stay near the top of their respective conferences in game this evening and Friday.

Elmwood, a game behind Colfax in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference standings, host Spring Valley tonight and is at St. Croix Central Saturday. Given that both these squad are near the bottom of the D-SC standings, the Raiders should emerge from this week still in the same strong position they are in now.

Ellsworth and Prescott are both tied for second in the Middle Border behind New Richmond, who is 4-0 in the league standings. All three squads will play against teams all tied with 1-3 records. Prescott hosts Durand and Ellsworth is at Somerset this evening while tomorrow New Richmond hosts rival Amery.

In other games, Plum City's boys basketball team is at No. 8 ranked Elk Mound and Spring Valley this weekend. In girls basketball action, Spring Valley is at Elmwood and Elk Mound is at Plum City.
