If Zengerle comes up a with a point in tonight's game, he will tie the school record held by current Badgers head coach Mike Eaves.

MANKATO, Minn. - Mark Zengerle extended his scoring streak to 20 games in a row with a goal and an assist in Wisconsin’s 4-0 shutout of Minnesota State-Mankato at the Midwest Wireless Center. If Zengerle comes up a with a point in tonight's game, he will tie the school record held by current Badgers head coach Mike Eaves.

Two goals in the first period boosted Wisconsin to its first road win of the season. Zengerle and Jefferson Dahl found the net for a 2-0 lead in the first period, then Mike Paape made it 3-0 less than two minutes into the second period. Michael Mersch had a power play goal in the third. Minnnesota-Mankato outshot the Badgers 36-29, but goalie Joel Rumpel stopped all 36 Mavericks shots.

Wisconsin’s record improves to 10-9-2, including 5-8-2 in WCHA competition.
