BAY CITY—Fire damaged a trailer home in Bay City early Tuesday evening.
The Ellsworth Fire Department was called around 5 p.m. to the blaze at W6690 Maple St., near Maple and Oak Hill Road, on the hill north of the village’s water tower. The structure was said to be fully engulfed at the time of the call.
Unofficial information at the scene indicated the trailer was unoccupied when the fire occurred. Flames burned through the front of the home, and the studs and insulation were exposed in one section. Once they got the blaze out, fire fighters removed items from inside, including a charred kitchen stove.
The department was on the scene until after 6:30 p.m.
