Elmwood and Spring Valley high school boys basketball teams were both winners in Dunn-St. Croix Conference action Tuesday evening.

Finally playing the full consistent game on offense head coach Rob Bosshart had been looking for, the Cardinals routed St. Croix Central 60-33 in Hammond. The win rented a five-game losing streak. Zac Webster led the Cardinals with 17 points, Kyle Bosshart had 12 points and Gabe Verges scored nine points.

Elmwood turned up the power on their explosive offense in the fourth quarter and turned a competitive contest with Glenwood City into a 75-56 rout at home. Kyle Webb led the Raiders with 22 points and Charles Hutter sank three three-pointers for 14 points.

Elmwood's win along with a 48-44 win by No. 7 ranked Elk Mound over Colfax has led to a three-way tie atop the D-SC boys standings, all three teams at 7-1. EHS will look to hold onto the top spot Friday as they host Mondovi. The Raider play Elk Mound again next Thursday.
