The No. 2 ranked Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestling team won 69-12 over Mondovi in a Dunn-St. Croix Conference dual meet Thursday.
ELMWOOD - The No. 2 ranked Spring Valley/Elmwood wrestling team won 69-12 over Mondovi in a Dunn-St. Croix Conference dual meet Thursday.
The Redbirds picked up four forfeits plus had pins for Conner Sieracki at 138 pounds, Andy Bune at 182, David Walker at 106, Brady Webb at 120, Tyler Berg at 126 and Nick Berg at 132.
Other SVE winners were Brian Fesenmaier by tech. fall at 160 and Steve Von Haden by a 13-2 major decision over Nick Van Vleet at 170.
Spring Valley/Elmwood improves to 8-2 overall and 2-0 in the D-SC. This was their last home meet of the season at either Spring Valley or Elmwood. Saturday they will compete in the Shell Lake Challenge and next Thursday they will compete against St. Croix Central, 3-0 in the D-SC, for the league title in Hammond.
