Coach Buzz Williams gave his team’s defense in the last 13 minutes of the game most of the credit for its 16th victory in 20 starts. Marquette also shot better than 68 percent in the second half. It was the first road victory in the Big East for the Eagles this season. It was also Williams’ 99th career victory.
