Spring Valley girls still searching for first win

Spring Valley High School's girls basketball team had one of its best efforts of the season Saturday against Baldwin-Woodville but end the result was still a 55-41 loss to remain winless this season.

SPRING VALLEY - Spring Valley High School's girls basketball team had one of its best efforts of the season Saturday against Baldwin-Woodville but end the result was still a 55-41 loss to remain winless this season.

This was due largely to an 18-0 start to the game in favor of the Blackhawks.

Still, the Cardinals had their highest point total of the season, both as a team and for an individual scorer as sophomore Emma Gaustad finished with a season-high 19 points.

SV did cut B-W lead to nine points before the Blackhawks pulled away in the fourth quarter.
