Cardinals hold on to beat Amery 41-33

Prescott High School girls' basketball team was outscored 14-2 by Amery in the third quarter to cut into a 20-9 lead. But the Cardinals held Amery to just one point in the final two minutes of the game to eventually win 41-33 Tuesday.

Prescott scored more points in this game than in their last two games combined last weekend.

The Cardinals had three players in double figures led by Cassie Murphy's 14 points, Mary Kate Pryor's 11 points and 10 points for Rachele Johnson.

The win puts PHS back at the .500 mark overall at 7-7 and above the .500 mark in the Middle Border Conference at 4-3.
