Ellsworth wins, Prescott falls on final night of MBC duals
Reserve wrestlers made their way into the starting line-up for Ellsworth in the No. 3 ranked Panthers 60-18 win over Durand Thursday while Prescott gave Amery a good tussle but lost 40-30 on the final night of Middle Border Conference dual meet competition this season.

Winning for Ellsworth in their final home dual meet were Kenny Stowe at 145 pounds, Max Peterson at 152, Pat Freund at 220 all by pinfall. EHS collected eight forfeits as Durand only put out six wrestlers for the varsity match.
The Panthers rested their top wrestlers for a big meet Saturday at Forest Lake which includes two of the best teams in Minnesota, No. 1 Apple Valley and No. 3 Forest Lake.

Prescott was unable to hold onto an early 24-4 lead and lost at home to Amery Thursday. Building that lead were wins by Cardinal wrestlers Sam Hoopingarner at 106, Josh Farr by pin at 113, Alex Stuhl by pin at 120, Nick Opdahl at 132 and Troy Urman by pin at 138. However PHS could only get one more wion the rest of the way by Matt Pechacek at 182 and thurs the Warriors rallied back to win the upper weights, taking advantage of four Prescott forfeits.
