Bridges in opposite corners of Pierce County will be replaced this construction season and, because of their priority, reconstruction of an Ellsworth area road is being delayed.
The bridges are on CTH F in the Town of Clifton and on CTH U in the Town of Union, according to Pierce Highway Commissioner Chad Johnson.
“We’ll have a link on the highway department’s part of the county web site called ‘2012 Road Projects,’ where the public can get updates,” Johnson said Thursday about a new service being offered on www.co.pierce.wi.us.
The list will include a date at the top of each project and be changed based on progress made, he said. He’s found using the computer internet for such notification can be beneficial, as when winter driving safety information is distributed, for example.
