Good weekend for Spring Valley boys' hoops

Spring Valley High School's boys' basketball team played some of its best basketball of the season this weekend with back-to-back road wins over Mondovi and Alma/Pepin.
The Cardinals won at Mondovi Friday 54-37. They outscored the Buffaloes 30-19 in the second half led by Zac Webster's season-high 26 points. Teammate Kyle Bosshart finished with 12 points and Troy Rudesill had 11 points.
Then on Saturday SV won a non-conference game 49-37 over Alma/Pepin at Pepin. Valley outscored the Eagles 16-7 in the fourth quarter, holding A/P scoreless until the 3:00 mark of the quarter.
Webster again had a big game with 18 points while Rudesill finished 12 points.
Spring Valley is 5-12 overall and 3-8 in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference. They are at Boyceville Monday.
