Ellsworth High School athlete Abbey Ristow recently signed a National Collegiate Letter of Intent to attend Winona State University to compete in Division II track and field.
Ristow finished second in the discus at the WIAA State Meet last year. While an injury to her knee has ended her athletic career at EHS, she will be working hard at rehabilitation to be ready for the 2013 indoor when she'll be a freshman at WSU.
Ristow said she loved the campus and the coaching staff made her feel right at home.
"I was very comfortable there. I felt like I fit in." Ristow said.
Abbey plans on competing in the throwing events, incljuding the discus, javelin and the weight throw.
