UW women's hockey shuts out St. Coud State
Wisconsin Sports-- It’s been a while since an opponent scored a goal on the Wisconsin women’s hockey team. Friday’s 5-0 blanking of St. Cloud State at the National Hockey Center was the second straight shutout for the Badgers who improved their record to 27-2-2.
ST. CLOUD, Minn. - It’s been a while since an opponent scored a goal on the Wisconsin women’s hockey team. Friday’s 5-0 blanking of St. Cloud State at the National Hockey Center was the second straight shutout for the Badgers who improved their record to 27-2-2.
One more win assures Wisconsin at least a share of the WCHA regular season championship. UW is 21-2-2-1 in league play.
Five different Badgers scored in the easy victory and Wisconsin dominated the action, out-shooting St. Cloud 41-19. Brooke Ammerman scored one goal and added two assists, giving her 199 career points. Carolyn Prevost also had a goal and two assists.
