Minnesota man charged with series of felonies

A Minnesota man went on an alleged six-week crime spree last year through Pierce County.

A Minnesota man went on an alleged six-week crime spree last year through Pierce County.

On Feb. 10, Christopher J. Stanley, 28, Apple Valley, found out the results of that spree, as he is accused of four burglaries, three operating a motor vehicle without owner’s consent, two arsons and three misdemeanor thefts.

“Cooperation with Minnesota law enforcement in Pierce County investigations resulted in multiple burglaries, stolen vehicles and thefts being directly linked to Stanley,” Pierce County Sheriff’s Investigator Doug Ducklow said.

Among the victims, according to the criminal complaint:

--The Prigge residence on 1208th Street, burglarized between Sept. 2 and 5. Items taken include a four-way folding ladder and various miscellaneous tools.

--The Scott Geiger residence on 745th Street, outside of Prescott, which was burglarized on Sept. 5. The items taken included a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, two TVs, several long guns and two binoculars.

--Christopher Ripley and Troy Denning, who reported to the sheriff’s department in mid-September their mail was stolen. Denning also said a gas can was missing.
