The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in identifying vehicles involved in an accident Tuesday morning.

Around 4:40 a.m., deputies were dispatched to a car in the ditch on US Highway 10 at 570th Ave. Upon arrival, they determined a vehicle was westbound on USH 10, left the roadway, went down a steep embankment and entered the ditch. The vehicle crashed through a fence, causing property damage.

After crashing, the vehicle then backed over the fence and began navigating the ditch. The vehicle continued in the ditch for approximately 200 yards. The tracks then led out of the ditch as it appears the vehicle was pulled out or had some assistance. There was no vehicle on scene when deputies arrived. The vehicle that crashed through the fence and/or assisted in pulling the vehicle was a possibly a truck maroon or burgundy in color.

If anyone knows anything about this accident, contact Deputy Adam Olson at (715) 273-6785.
