MADISON - Prescott's Josh Farr senior wrestling season won't end in injury but on the awards stand in third place at the WIAA State Individual Wrestling Tournament in the Kohl Center.
Farr came back from a loss Friday to win both his Saturday matches at 113 pounds in Division 3.
Farr downed Random Lake's Brandon Depeis 9-2 placement round semifinals and edged La Crosse Aquinas's Joe Corcoran 5-1 in the third place match. Farr scored his first takedown in the second period and then scored another late in the third ahead just 3-1.
Farr finished his senior season with a 28-5 record.
Matt Pechacek placed sixth for the Cardinals at 170. He lost a close 3-2 decision to Luke Bollant of Iowa-Grant and the lost the fifth place match to Ladysmith's Otis Hamilton by a 17-6 score in a wild, back n' forth match Hamilton broke open in the third period with a pair of takedowns and three-point nearfalls.
