TO THE EDITOR: I just read that the federal government is thinking about drawing oil out of the Oil Reserves to offset gas prices.
Plus the Keystone Pipeline is an issue being addressed regarding gas prices.
The part that I don’t understand is we exported more oil in the first 10 months of 2011 than we imported. Oil is the number one exported product of the United States.
Maybe we should charge a tariff on exported oil to offset gas prices. There is no way the general public can be this ignorant and not realize what is going on. It’s a money thing.
Either pay attention or just pay.
