Club’s new president adds up memberships

BELDENVILLE--Dick DeCosta stays active in so many organizations the retiree’s encountering conflicts with his schedule.
For example, DeCosta wasn’t able to attend a school board meeting Monday of this week as a representative of Ellsworth’s American Legion Post because he had two meetings to go to that evening. The one he planned to be at was an El Paso Community Club session.
Last month, the Beldenville resident was elected president of that group, succeeding Nate Place, who had served in the leader’s role for approximately two years. Place had taken over for long-time chief Merlin Blaisdell.
