WISCONSIN RAPIDS - One of the four Wisconsin Rapids High School wrestlers accused of locker room misconduct decided he wants to take his case to trial. The other three pleaded no contest.
Eighteen year old Rylan Lubeck decided not to enter a plea yesterday.
All four were accused of harassing a younger team member by dancing in a circle around him while they were naked. A Wood County judge ordered 18 year old Devin Peterson to report to jail immediately, so he could spent the weekend behind bars. He will also be jailed during spring break. Kasey Einerson and Zachary Benitz will join Peterson in performing 100 hours of community service, will pay court costs and write essays on the impact of the case.
The team participated in the WIAA State Team Tournament in Madison last night, winning 35-22 in the quarterfinals against Hartland Arrowhead. The will wrestle again this morning against Wausau West.
