FT. MEYERS, Fla. -- The Minnesota Twins got two hits and an RBI from star catcher Joe Mauer, but lost to the Red Sox 10-2 last night in a spring training game.
New Minnesota pitcher Jason Marquis gave up four runs in an inning-and-two-thirds in his Twins spring training debut. Marquis says he is not overly concerned about his early spring training outings. Tsuyoshi Nishioka drove home the other Twins run. Former Twin David Ortiz homered for the Red Sox.
The Twins go against the Rays today.
